Meeting Recap

Hello again everyone! Welcome to another exciting IPC newsletter!. We had a great meeting this month with both new and old members. We welcome all of our newest pipers and we are working to get you practice sets so you can start piping!

Our collection of commonly played tunes continues to grow with some excellent one from this months meeting. If you're interested in learning some tunes that most of us are able to play as well, check it out on our resources page: Commonly Played Tunes

If you attended last months tionol and haven’t already done so, please. take a moment to fill out our feedback survey to help us improve future workshops. You can find it here: West Coast Tionol Feedback Survey. You can also submit some of your favorite photos from the weekend at the end of the survey.

West Coast Tionol - Piper's Chair Recordings

If you performed at the Piper's Chair during the Tionol, I'm very close to having these finished and will email a link to you ASAP. You all sounded fantastic! Thanks to everyone who participated.

Club Membership

I've recently had a few people ask about club membership and dues. At this point in time we are not set up to accept recurring payments, however, there is a donation option on our website if you're feeling charitable.

As for future membership plans, I am actively working on developing our Members Only section of our website which will cost $20 a year and offer concert recordings and discounts on future workshops and concerts. As soon as this becomes available we will announce it in a newsletter.

Remember all of this money go to funding future workshops, concerts, and hopefully education programs. So, dont be afraid to donate!

Workshops & Concerts

Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy 2025 registration is in full swing. Pipers will need to register by via t the Na Piobairi Uilleann website (pipers.ie). I suspect the majority of accommodations are already booked, however there is a Facebook page with folks still offer up their spare rooms: Willie Clancy Week Facebook Group.

Bandcamp, Bits & Bobs

The legendary piper John Manning has been telling me for some time about this album Forgotten Gems by Padraig McGovern and Peter Carberry. Well, I managed to find it on Bandcamp, and it's a banger!

That’s it for now. See you all April 13th!
